Classics & the day of love...
Recently, I've begin to make some pieces which are the all time favourite colour of Black & White. Such simple yet versatile colours to play with. Great to dress up most wardrobe. A timeless classic.
& with Valentine's Day in mind (as it is not too far away till 14th Feb), I've designed a necklace to honour that lovely day. I hand picked a beautiful silver heart shaped charm & added it to my black & white classics.
But of course.... Valentine's Day can be any day if you are in love :)
visit my online store www.giftedmoments.etsy.com to see these new jewelry up close. Thank you.

A Page In History
Gypsy Bling
Upon making this pair of earrings, I was taken back to some memories of gypsy movies where looking into the crystal ball, playing with tarot cards, dancing with tambourines & around the camp fire is the daily way of life.
I came across this poem which I think suits this earring very well...
Gypsy Song by Rie Sheridan Rose
Come and hear the tambourine—
Come and join the dance!
Spinning silks in shades of light
Velvet dark as shadowed night.
Gold and silver buy your future—
Pasteboard cards with faded ink.
Caravans by camp fire glow
Keeping secrets gypsies know
Restlessly, we go our way
We were not meant for hearth or town.
Whirling dancers with eyes like jet
Centuries have not tamed us yet!

Kevin's Chicken Rice...
The Cravings
A couple of days back, I was really craving for one of my favourite dish, The Penang fried rice noodles or the locals (in Penang, Malaysia) call it "(Penang) Char Koey Teow". Though I can cook it myself...well.... that day was "I feel like eating out day". So far one of the restaurants in Perth, that makes authentic "Penang Char Koey Toew" is in William Street called Tak Chee. Well, the owner & chef is from Penang, so it cannot get any more authentic than that! My darling husband & I went on a date for that :) YUM!
What is your favourite dish?
